Dr. Vinay Bharat Ram, Executive Chairman

Dr. Vinay Bharat Ram (Executive Chairman) hails from the pioneering industrialist family of Lala Shri Ram. He is educated at the Universities of Delhi, Michigan (Ann Arbor) and Harvard. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from University of Delhi.

Dr. Vinay Bharat-Ram had taught at the Indian Institute of Management, Headband and the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi. Presently, he is visiting Professor of Economics at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He has authored numerous papers in Indian and foreign journals and has number of books in Economics to his credit.

He is a past President of Harvard Club of Delhi, Manufacturers’ Association of Information Technology, Ex-Member of the International Council of the Asia Society, New York, U.SA. He is honoured and admired as Member of the Textile Association of Indian and also Vice President, Governing Council of Shri Ram Centre for Industrial Relations and Human Resources and Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts. He has received the National Citizen’s Award 1990 for Entrepreneurship from the Prime Minister of India. National Excellence Award for Art and Culture for 1996-97 from T.P. Jhunjunwala Foundation.

Over the years, he has emerged as a strong entrepreneur having extensive exposure in automotive, textile, information technology and real estate. His charismatic leadership has encouraged vision for the Company to become a preferred supplier of castings to world’s leading companies.
Hemant Bharat Ram, Vice Chairman

Mr. Hemant Bharat Ram holds a B.S. in Mathematics & Computer Science Degree in the year 1989 & M.S. in the Industrial Administration in the year 1991 from Carnegie Mellon University , Pittsburgh PA, USA . He hails from the Pioneering Industrialist family of Lala Shri Ram, Dr. Bharat Ram and Dr Vinay Bharat-Ram.






Jai Kumar Menon, Managing Director

Mr. Jai Kumar Menon holds a B.Tech (Mech.) from IIT Chennai . About 25 years total work experience with the last decade as Strategic Business Head for different companies in the Minda Group. Has substantial experience in lean Manufacturing practices as well as techno-commercial areas like Marketing, Purchase. Considers people management as the corner stone for success of any venture. Have strong exposure to international OEMs and JV partners.

Joined DCM Engineering Ltd. at Ropar (Punjab) as Managing Director in November 2007.


Jitendra Tuli, Director

Mr. Jitendra Tuli is an editor and communication consultant with World Health Organisation, regional office for South Asia. He obtained his Post Graduate Diploma from London School of Journalism and attended the School of Public Relations and Communications at Boston University, USA.

He started his career in journalism with the Hindustan Times in 1964 and subsequently moved The Statesman in 1965. In 1971, he joined IBM as Communication Officer. Mr. Tuli became the first English Newscaster from Delhi Doordarshan in December 1971 and kept viewers informed of the Bangladesh war.

He has widely traveled and has written for leading newspapers and magazines. He is deeply involved in the work for the less privileged ones as the trustee of Amarjyoti Charitable Trust and as founder member of Cancer-Sehyog.
Raghupati Singhania, Director

Mr. Raghupati Singhania is Vice Chairman & Managing Director of J K Industries Limited, an Industrial group founded over 100 years ago, which today ranks among the large industrial groups in India. He is also Chairman of Fenner (India) Ltd. and Director of J K Corp Limited. He is associated with various organizations and serving various Chambers of Commerce and Industry. He is member of National Council of CII; and former President of PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He has been the Deputy President & Member of Managing Committee, Associated Chamber of Commerce & Industry of India (ASSOCHAM); Chairman, Indian Wire Rope Manufacturers Association (IWRMA); Chairman, Automotive Tyre Manufacturers Association (ATMA); Chairman, Auto Tyres & Tubes Panel of Chemical & Allied Products Export Promotion Council (CAPEXIL); Member, Board of Governors of Rubber Board; Member, Board of Governors of Xavier Institute of Management (XIM); Bhubaneshwar, Member, Board of Governors, IIT, Chennai; and Chairman of various bilateral joint business councils and represented these as leader of various delegations to number of countries.
Ravi Vira Gupta, Director

Mr. Ravi Vira Gupta was educated at The Doon School, St. Stephen’s College, Delhi and at Cambridge University. After his Graduation in Economics, he joined the Indian Administrative Service in 1962. He had worked in various states and held challenging assignment at the field.

For many years, Mr. Ravi Vira Gupta was associated with various aspects relating to cooperatives as well as agriculture. He was Registrar of Cooperatives as well as Managing Director of National Cooperative Development Corporation. In Madhya Pradesh, he was the Managing Director of the MP Federation of Dairy Cooperatives for over three years during which the operation flood project was successfully implemented.

Between 1991 and 1998, he was closely associated with the economic reforms at the level of Additional Secretary, Secretary in the Government of India in the ministries of Fertilizer, Food as well as Finance. He was also Deputy Governor of The Reserve Bank of India for about three years.

He was associated with many committees over the years. Particular mention needs to be made as regards the 1998 Reserve Bank Committee on Agricultural Credit, as the widely popular Kisan Credit Card was introduced by various commercial banks on the basis of its recommendation. He was also chairman of two Government of India committees relating to small savings in 1998 & 1999. On the basis of the recommendation of these reports the Central Government significantly modified the sharing formula with the states in regard to small savings collections, as well as the accounting system in relation to the central budget.

Ravi Vira Gupta is on the board of several companies. He is also Chairman of Ambit Corporate Finance Private Limited, which is a leading investment bank in India.
Subodh Bhargava, Director

Born in Agra in 1942, Mr. Subodh Bhargava holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Roorkee. He started his career with Balmer Lawrie & Co, Calcutta before joining the Eicher Group of companies in Delhi in 1975. On March 31st, 200, he retired as the Group Chairman & Chief Executive and is now the Chairman Emeritus, Eicher Group.

He is the past President of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and the Association of Indian Automobile Manufacturers; and the Vice-President of the Tractor Manufacturers Association. He was a member of the Insurance Tariff Advisory Committee, the Economic Development Board of the Government of Rajasthan. He was also the Chairman of the National Accreditation Board for Certifying Bodies (NABCB) under the aegis of the Quality council of India (QCI). Mr. Bhargava has been closely associated with technical and management education in India. He was the Chairman of the Board of Apprenticeship Training and Member of Board of Governors of the University of Roorkee, the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi; and the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmedabad.

He is currently on the Board of the Centre for Policy Research and IIM, Indore; Trustee, Bhartiya Yuva Shakti Trust; Executive Trustee, National Center for Promoting Employment for Disabled Persons; Chairman Trustee Charity Aid Foundation. HE has been conferred with first IIT Roorkee Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2005 by Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.

Mr. Bhargava is the Chairman of Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited (VSNL) and Wartisila India Ltd and on the Boards of several Indian Corporate. He is also on the Board of Tata Steels.
Chandra Mohan, Director

He was one of the founders of Punjab Tractors Limited. He has established PTL as force to rekcon with in Tractor & Farm Equipment manufacturing sector. He retired as Vice-Chairman of Punjab Tractors Limited. He is rare blend of an engineer-scientist-inventor, a visionary entrepreneur, an educationist, an author and a top-class leader. He led the development of the wholly Indian SWARAJ Tractor technology in CSIR (Central Scientific Institute of Research) he raised PTL, India’s first large scale venture based totally on Indian technology and then lead into a Rs. 1500 crs. Swaraj Group a nationally and internationally known Blue chip. He is Chairman of the Governing council of Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh (Deemed University) and PTU’s Gian Jyoti School of TQM & Entrepreneurship, Mohali (First School of Excellence of Punjab Technical University). His book “From Zero to Blue-chip” is a lesson in management. He has won many national and international Awards including “Padma Shree” in 1985 & IMC- Juran Gold Medal (2000).
